GROUND BEARING SLABS
GroundCo ground-bearing slabs are concrete slab that are poured within foundation blocks, which are built on a traditional strip foundation. Concrete is usually poured onto a 150mm compacted sub-base with a damp-proof membrane and one layer of pre-fabricated steel mesh. This is a typical application for an extension, a garage or small new build extensions, domestic homes and new build applications. Our groundworks team are well versed in concrete slab installation.

Rubber Wet-Pour Safety Surfacing Groundworks
Play Area Soft Surface
GroundCo provide groundwork preparation for Wetpour surfacing for outdoor play areas, outdoor gyms and Trim Trails.
Wet pour surfaces are made from 100% recycled rubber, mostly used tyres, it is available in a wide range of Colours and have infinite design possibilities. The coloured rubber crumbs are bound together with a resin that, once set, provides an impact-absorbent surface that will last for years.
This surfacing is constructed in two layers, a base layer and a top surface layer. The base layer is made from large black rubber granules, and the top layer is made from smaller rubber granules in a Colour of your choosing.

Tarmac/Asphalt
Asphalt or tarmac, as it is more commonly known, is a popular driveway surfacing choice due its being cost-effective and long-lasting. Our driveway is asphalt and tarmac
comes in the form of hot-roll asphalt, bituminous macadam and also an extra durable ‘SMA’ surface.
Resin-bound Surfaces

Loose Shingle

Wet-Pour Groundworks Services
We provide a full turn-key wet pour groundworks service for outdoor Play Equipment contractors. We work to the design and technical specification, setting up the levels and carrying out all digging, sub base, installing Ecomatt weed control fabric matting, and scalping ready for the wet pour surface.
The Wetpour surface can be laid onto existing tarmac, concrete or prepared bases, making it ideal for play spaces.
